La Safrologue — Tshahé Anongba Varela
About
Sophrologist in Lausanne
La Safrologue is the practice of Tshahé Anongba Varela, a sophrologist in Lausanne certified in Caycedian sophrology. The name “Safrologue” deliberately brings together two dimensions: her identity — being of African descent and perceived as Black in Europe — and her profession, sophrology.
From that meeting comes her signature: an approach that is not “colour-blind,” nor blind to gender or life path, but instead informed by each person’s socio-cultural environment. Her aim is not to erase what you feel, but to help you understand it and move forward with it. La Safrologue receives clients at the Saint-Claude practice in Lausanne and also offers online sessions.

Why Clients Choose La Safrologue
Sophrology informed by your socio-cultural environment, identity and lived experience, rather than a standardised approach.
She takes account of the weight of systemic discrimination in people’s lives, and seeks to support joy, strength, dignity and hope.
Over ten years of social and educational experience — precarity, violence, migration — before and alongside sophrology.
Support designed to foster your autonomy: “I am only a support on the path you choose.”
Expertise & Background
La Safrologue’s approach draws on more than ten years of experience in human and social support across French-speaking Switzerland — working with people in precarious situations, women and children affected by violence, and people from migration backgrounds. It is this grounding, as much as her certification in Caycedian sophrology (Sofrocay, via the Swiss Training Centre in Caycedian Sophrology, 2026), that shapes her practice today. She is bound by the Caycedian sophrologists’ code of ethics, and has completed continuing education in mental-health recovery (HES-SO) and mental-health first aid (ENSA).
