Angèle Monteleone is a cultural entrepreneur, artistic director and event organiser based in Geneva and originally from Cameroon. Over more than a decade in events, she has conceived and launched two Geneva festivals that place African and Afro-descendant cultures at the centre of the city’s cultural life.
She is the founder and artistic director of AfrikFestiFood, a festival dedicated to African and Afro-descendant gastronomy, and the founder and programmer of Afrik Rire & Culture (now the Afrik Rire Geneva Festival), a comedy festival showcasing talent from across Africa and its diaspora. From founder to artistic director to programmer, she has brought these ambitious projects to life in landmark Geneva venues — from the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices to the Pavillon Sicli.
