The coffee comes from wild Arabica growing in the Ethiopian rainforest at over 2,200 metres above sea level — a colourful melange of heirloom varieties thriving on humus-rich soil in harmony with nature. Every bean is hand-picked at optimal ripeness, then refined in Switzerland through gentle long-term roasting. Desta’s Coffee works directly with its farmers, with an on-site presence in Ethiopia, so growers share in the brand’s success, and runs an extensive sustainability and community program across its growing regions.
